What is a Black Belt Hoshi Service Award?
The WMAF Star Service Award is earned by those Sho Dan students who have successfully completed the Ni Dan requirements as outlined for those under the age of sixteen.  These students are not eligible to promote to Ni Dan until they are at least age sixteen.  Instead, they may earn the Star Service Award for each year they adhere to these requirements and exemplify those qualities we expect out of a WMAF Black Belt.

What do I do with my Black Belt "Star"?
The star patch is designed to be affixed to the black belt with fabric glue or to be sewn.  It should be attached to the belt so it is visible on the back of the belt.  Any subsequent stars should be attached radiating from the middle on alternating sides.
