Virginia Regional Championship
May 4th, 2008 - Ashburn, VA
The third tournament of the 2008 AAU Region II Competition season was held in Ashburn, VA on Sunday, May 4th, hosted by Shihan Clinton Williams of Williams Martial Arts and Fitness.  Experienced martial artists from 14 schools from as far away as North Carolina and Florida competed for gold, silver, and bronze medals in the Amateur Athletic Union’s Region II tournament at Broad Run High School in Ashburn, Virginia.  Competition included kobudo (weapons), kata (forms), and kumite (sparring).

Top finishers in the regional competition gained a spot at the AAU National Karate Tournament as well as the AAU Junior Olympic competition.

The Region II Tournament covers the Mid-Atlantic and neighboring regions.
